Fact: Heavy rockers GWAR have opened a bar/restaurant in Richmond, Virginia named Gwarbar.

Fact: GWAR frontman Dave Brockie died of an accidental heroin overdose, according to officials working for the Virginia State Medical Examiner. The masked musician, 50, was found dead in his Richmond home by a roommate on 23 March (14).

Fact: Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes paid tribute to late rocker Dave Brockie during an appearance on America's The Daily Show on Tuesday night (25Mar14) by scrawling 'GWAR' on his arm in large black letters. Brockie, who fronted the group, died on Sunday (23Mar14).

Fact: Heavy metal rockers GWAR are launching their own brand of hot sauce. The Gwar-B-Q condiment is set to be unveiled at a special Meat and Meet event in Kansas City, Missouri on 8 April (13). They aren't the first musicians to indulge in their love of spice - Guns N' Roses' Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal has also created his own line of gourmet hot sauces.
