The former Happy Mondays star, real name Mark Berry, launched a campaign to boost Britain's bee population in 2013 and installed hives in a rooftop garden in the centre of his hometown.

Bez has four hives, which house around 24,000 bees, and they have produced a limited number of jars of honey, which Bez is now selling for $120 (£75) each.

The profits will later be shared between charities benefitting the people of Manchester.

At the 2013 launch, Bez highlighted his personal connection to honey, saying, "When my grandad came home from the war the only thing he came home with was four massive tins of honey and ever since honey has been part of our family life."
