Victoria's Secret officials have dismissed reports suggesting they have severed ties with model Jessica Hart over remarks she made about Taylor Swift following the singer's performance at the lingerie company's annual Tv fashion show.
Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily at the event's afterparty last month (Nov13), the Australian beauty tried to be complimentary about the country sweetheart, who sang and strutted with the Victoria Secret Angels as they hit the catwalk during the taping of the big show, but she confessed Swift "didn't fit".
Hart said, "I don’t know if I should say that. I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we’ve been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age. It’s definitely the benchmark of all jobs."
Reports suggested the comments had cost Hart her job as an Angel, but Victoria's Secret bosses insist that's not the case.
Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Victoria’s Secret tells People magazine, "There is no truth to the rumours that Jessica Hart has been fired or that she will no longer work with the brand. As you will see, she was a great part of our show and we look forward to continuing to work with her."
He adds, "We at Victoria’s Secret and all those involved, including Jessica Hart, were thrilled to have Taylor be a part of the show. We look forward to sharing her performances next week during the television special."
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs in America on 10 December (13).
