John Legend's model wife Chrissy Teigen has revealed she pitched drunk when she took to the mound at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (05Aug14).

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the home team Los Angeles Dodgers took the field for a rivalry game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and admits she was a little inebriated.

Teigen took fans through her preparation for her sporting moment, posting photos of her dad mixing cocktails earlier in the day on Instagram.

She wrote, "Dad making birthday margaritas like only dad can!! I love you dad, happy birthday!!!!"

She followed that by tweeting, "Crap, I'm pretty drunk" and "My mom is bombed".

An hour later she was on the pitch, mingling with players as she practised her throwing skills.

The drinking appeared to help steady her nerves and the sexy stunner threw out a decent pitch.

Teigen's first pitch brought the Dodgers a little luck - they beat the Angels in dramatic fashion with a run scored in the final inning of the game.
