Jon Gomm's new single, 'Passionflower' is the first song to be taken from 'The Domestic Science Singles', a series of singles that will be released separately throughout the autumn months as digital downloads and on a 'Pay As You Want' basis, meaning once you've heard the song, you can decide how much you pay for it. The singles also come with downloadable guitar accompaniment so you can learn to play for yourself.
The video for Passionflower was shot by Danielle Millea and Owen Plummer. The simple video, of Jon and his acoustic guitar, only serves to highlight the beautiful song as well as the, quite simply, astonishing sounds that come from just one instrument.
The son of a music critic, Jon was no stranger to seeing musicians pass through his house as a young boy and can claim to have had guitar lessons from artists such as Bob Bozman and Walter Trout. His debut album 'Hypertension' sold over ten thousand copies - without industry backing. His sophomore release, 'Don't Panic', sold out in five days on Amazon. Jon has stated that a percentage of sales from the single will go towards his mum's charity, 'The Happy House Children's Home', for children in Kenya that have been made orphans from AIDS and malaria.
