'Drake and Josh' actor Josh Peck has "reached out" to his former co-star Drake Bell after 'Quiet On Set'.
Josh Peck has "reached out" to Drake Bell amid abuse allegations.
The former 'Drake And Josh' co-stars have been in touch after Drake revealed he suffered sexual abuse at the hands of Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck - who has no relation to Josh - in new documentary series 'Quiet On Set'.
Fans had criticised Josh for being silent after the docuseries aired, but now Drake has said on TikTok: “I just wanted to clear something up. I've noticed a lot of comments on some of Josh's TikToks and some of his posts.
"I just wanted to let you guys know that processing this and going through this is a really emotional time.
“A lot of it is very difficult so not everything is put out to the public. But I just want you guys know that [Josh] has reached out to me, and it’s been very sensitive.
"But he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this and he’s been really great.
"So, I just wanted to let you guys know that and to take it a little easy on him."
On Monday (18.03.24), the 'How I Met Your Father' actor, 37, was blasted by fans after sharing a video where he lip synced to a viral sound.
He mimed: "If I haven’t talked to you since 2023, take that as a f****** sign that you don’t exist to me anymore.”
Users hit the comment section and claimed the timing of the post was "odd" as they accused him of being silent after Drake, also 37, opened up about the abuse he suffered.
New documentary series 'Quiet On Set' has raised allegations of a toxic and dangerous culture on the set of former children's TV producer Dan Schneider's shows, including the likes of 'All That', 'The Amanda Show' and 'Drake and Josh'.
Drake suffered "extensive and brutal" abuse at the hands of Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck, and he claimed in the series that Schneider was "unaware" of the abuse.
Regarding the wider allegations about the environment on set, Schneider has told 'iCarly' star BooG!e for The Hollywood Reporter: "Watching over the past few nights was very difficult.
"Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and I regret, I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
