Kelis hates milkshakes.

The 35-year-old singer, who had a hit with her 2003 song 'Milkshake' - which she previously revealed is a metaphor for ''something that makes women special'' - has admitted she isn't actually a fan of the calorific beverages and never drinks them.

When asked what her favourite flavour of the tasty treats is, she replied: ''Funnily, enough I don't actually drink milkshakes.''

The star admits she is keen to open a restaurant chain in the near future and while the eatery is unlikely to be stocked full of milkshakes, she has a line of signature sauces, Feast, which could go well in the establishment.

Speaking before her recent performance at Harman IFA in Berlin, she added: ''I would love to open a restaurant in the near future.

''My current sauce line Feast will be coming out this winter. A lot of various food related goals in the upcoming year. I'm excited to see what's to come!''

One thing Kelis has already ticked off her to do list this year was performing at Glastonbury festival in Somerset, south west England, as she took to the stage at this year's spectacle to perform a greatest hits set, and the star had a superb time at the iconic event.

She said: ''Glastonbury is an incredible festival, so being able to play this year was very special.''
