Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has revealed her son has been left with a dislocated elbow after falling off a chair
Kimberley Walsh rushed her son to hospital after he suffered a dislocated elbow falling off a chair.
The Girls Aloud star has revealed her two-year-old boy Nate took a nasty tumble during the half-term holiday and she rushed him to the accident and emergency department because he was in so much pain, however the nurse who checked him over said he was "fine" and sent them home.
In a post on Instagram, she explained: "Not exactly how I hoped half term would go. My little climbing monkey fell off the chair and landed funny on his arm.
"I knew something wasn’t right so we went to A and E to get him checked over. The nurse thought he was fine so sent us home but he really wasn’t happy."
However, Nate was still in agony the next day so Kimberley took him back to hospital where an X-ray revealed he had dislocated his elbow.
She went on: "After a very unsettled night and him really not wanting to use his arm at all we took him back the next day and asked for an X-ray. Turned out he had dislocated his elbow. Poor little thing was so brave it kills me."
Kimberley, 41, went on to urge other parents to "trust your instincts" and always seek a second opinion if things don't feel right.
She added: "Moral of the story is trust your instincts. I knew something was wrong thank God we went back.
"He’s back to his normal self again but unfortunately the climbing hasn’t stopped."
Kimberley is also mum to Bobby, seven, and Cole, four with her husband Justin Scott.
The news comes amid reports Kimberley is set to play Glastonbury 2024 with her Girls Aloud bandmates. The girl group are reuniting this year for a tour and it's been suggested they might also rock up at Worth Farm this summer.
A source told The Sun on Sunday's Bizarre column: "Girls Aloud have been at the top of the wishlist to play after rumours of a reunion emerged. The festival needs some girl power after last year’s all-male line-up and the girls fit the bill.
"They also have a huge back catalogue of pop anthems, so all ages will be singing along — exactly what the Legends slot is all about."
