Kristin Cavallari ended her relationship with Mark Estes because she knew it "wasn't right" in the long term.
The 37-year-old reality star recently called it quits with Montana Boyz star Mark, 24, after seven months of dating and has now admitted that even though he has been the "best boyfriend" she has ever had, she had to consider the fact that he is in the midst of his "formative years" right now.
Speaking on her 'Let's Be Honest' podcast, she said: "Mark and I broke up. It's hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know long-term it's not right, and it's not because of love lost or something bad happened.
"He's been the best boyfriend I've ever had. I just know long-term he needs to experience life, he's young... I started to feel the age a little bit with life experience. I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then, those are crucial years, those are formative years, they're when you find yourself and he needs to be able to do that."
The former 'Hills' star - who was initially married to bodybuilder Jay Cutler from 2013 until 2022 and has sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, as well as eight-year-old daughter Saylor with him - "doesn't regret" anything about the relationship and will look back on her time with Mark with nothing but "fond memories" going forward.
She said: "I don't regret going public with him. I don't regret introducing him to my kids. I don't regret anything. It was such a good, happy relationship. And I think with every relationship you learn and you grow from, and I will forever look back at Mark and I with such fond memories and just pure happiness."
