Liam Gallagher and John Squire performed at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on Monday night (26.03.24), treating fans to tracks from their collaborative album and a cover of 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' by The Rolling Stones.
Liam Gallagher and John Squire covered Rolling Stones song 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' as they brought their tour to London on Monday night (25.03.24).
The two rock legends performed at the O2 Forum Kentish Town and for their encore they performed a blistering rendition of the iconic 1968 single written by Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
Before the closing track, Liam, 51, and John, 61, treated the sell-out crowd to songs from their collaborative album 'Liam Gallagher John Squire', opting not to perform any tracks by their previous bands Oasis and The Stone Roses.
Opening with single 'Just Another Rainbow', the crowd joined Liam in a boisterous singalong of the colours of the rainbow during the song's refrain.
Introducing 'I'm a Wheel', the singer said "hands up who wants the blues", before Squire broke into the distinctive 12-bar riff.
Highlights included 'Mars to Liverpool', 'You're Not the Only One' and 'Love You Forever', during which Liam left the stage as the band - also comprised of bassist Barrie Cadogan, drummer Joey Waronker and Chris Madden on keyboards - jammed, with Squire showing off his unique solo skills.
Liam also took time out during the gig to jokingly ask one fan to "finish off that sambuca" as the smell of the Italian liqueur wafted up to the stage.
The pair play the Troxy in London on Tuesday night (26.03.24) before playing shows in Paris, Berlin, Milan and New York City in April.
