Music producer Lord Finesse has settled his copyright lawsuit against rapper Mac Miller.
Hip-hop veteran Finesse launched a $10 million (£6.25 million) legal battle against Miller in July (12), accusing the star of illegally sampling his 1995 track Hip 2 The Game on his breakout hit Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza.
The 20 year old denied any wrongdoing, insisting Finesse's track is actually based on an Oscar Peterson jazz beat the producer doesn't own the rights to, and now they have avoided a trial after reaching an undisclosed agreement, according to HipHopDx.com.
Miller tells Complex magazine, "I'm actually legally not allowed to say anything about what happened other than that it's been resolved and we didn't go to (trial)."
