'Today' show co-anchor Matt Lauer is snapped by paparazzi hugging his young son on a day out on the beach in the Hamptons, New York where he took to the sea for a spot of jet-skiing and motor-boating with his family.
Matt recently got involved in the Asiana Flight 214 crash-landing story, after comparing it to his Boeing 777 flight simulator experience back in 2007. The plane crashed earlier this month (July 2013) at San Francisco International Airport killing three passengers and seriously injuring the vast majority of the rest. At an altitude of 200 feet, Matt admitted from his own experience, 'I had a hard time gauging my position.'
