Ouija Trailer

Sometimes, the most terrifying experiences come from childhood games. One such case is that of the Ouija board - a board game designed for communicating with the dead. Debbie (Shelley Hennig) choses to stay in one night and not go out on the town with her friends. While at home, she discovers a mysterious Ouija board in an upstairs room and is later found dead. Her friends decide that, as they miss her, they want to contact her in the afterlife via an Ouija board that they also discover. After making a connection with the afterlife, the friends soon realise that the board is linked to them and bringing them into conflict with an old spectre that seems hell-bent on tormenting them. The Ouija board is not a game for them anymore - it is a newfound level of ultimate terror.

So Undercover Trailer

Molly Moris is a private investigator who puts crime-fighting before fashion and is dedicated to working for her ex-cop father Sam. They may carry guns and speak over radios like serious law officials, but their main assignments consist of exposing adulterous affairs and dealing with petty theft. Despite this, her streetwise attitude and the fact that she is a young, college age girl catches the eye of the FBI who are in search of the perfect undercover agent to infiltrate a sorority and keep watch on a key witness for a major crime who is in grave danger. She undergoes a college makeover and becomes Brooke Stonebridge; a girly and pretentious sorority member. Things aren't as easy to keep an eye on as they first appear and Molly finds herself suspecting everyone of being an undercover hitman, even potential love interest Nicholas.

'So Undercover' is the most hilarious chick flick action comedy since 'Miss Congeniality'. With a star-studded cast and Tom Vaughan ('What Happens in Vegas', 'Starter for 10') directing, it's definitely one to look forward to this year. It has been written by Allan Loeb ('Rock of Ages', 'The Switch') and Steven Pearl in his debut full-length feature and will hit cinemas on December 7th 2012.

Director: Tom Vaughan

Attraction Review

OK
They almost had me, but then they blew it. Attraction, a direct-to-video release that purports to turn the tables on the stalker movie, never quite makes it, despite a promising cast and an interesting twist.

As the story goes, Matthew (Matthew Settle) just can't get over his ex-girlfriend Liz (Gretchen Mol), which sees him drinking heavily and attempting to beat down Liz's door in the hopes of getting her back. (Never mind that Matthew's job is being a radio psychologist...) Fortunately, Liz's friend Corey (Samantha Mathis) enters his life, and maybe Matthew will be able to move on, right? Alas, he continues stalking Liz while he's banging her friend. And to throw another twist on you, Matthew's co-worker Garrett (Tom Everett Scott), decides he now loves Liz, and he's going to return the favor by stalking Matthew and Corey.

U-571 Review

Good
It's finally time to reassess the submarine movie to see if it's outlived its useful life. I was skeptical enough when Crimson Tide came out in 1995, feeling like a knockoff of The Hunt for Red October, itself an homage to Das Boot, it something of an homage to Run Silent, Run Deep. They even made Down Periscope, which four years of therapy have not helped me to forget.

U-571 takes the Das Boot path, starring a dozen of the sweatiest men in Hollywood (the makeup department working overtime on this one), all led by everyone's favorite naked bongo player, Matthew McConaughey. Loosely based on real events, U-571 involves a WWII mission to capture a German Enigma encryption device from a sinking German submarine adrift in the middle of the Atlantic. Skipper Bill Paxton and his 2nd in charge McConaughey hop to the task, dressing up their wreck of a sub to look just like a German U-boat. One guy on the crew speaks German, so there shouldn't be a problem in posing as a rescue ship, right?
