Max Clifford's divorce has been fastracked through.
A High Court judge has approved Max Clifford's divorce from wife Jo after the pair were granted a decree nisi in family court. Max Clifford's Divorce Has Been Finalized
Cifford's wife did not attend any day of the trial and was not called as a witness to defend him. She had worked as Clifford's PA before marrying him. She had hired the $450 per hour celebrity lawyer Raymond Tooth to represent her in court.
Clifford had an estimated fortune of £10 million from his kiss and tell business, however, he was hit with a huge legal bill after the trial.
According to divorce papers, Mrs Clifford filed for divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour. She said her husband Max's behaviour had affected her health, writing, "I suffered from stress and had heart palpitation and saw a specialist."
The date of the "final incident" referred to in divorce papers was August 18, 2012 - nearly four months before Clifford was arrested on suspicion of committing sex offences.
Mrs Clifford's lawyer Mr Tooth, said: "Everything has been settled amicably."
Lucy Sparks, who represented the disgraced publicist, declined to comment.
