Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy were crowned 'Dancing with the Stars' winners on Tuesday night (05.12.23).

The 17-year-old Disney actress and her professional dance partner won the 32nd season of the show after achieving two perfect 30-out-of-30 scores in the finale.

Judges Derek Hough, 38, Carrie Ann Inaba, 55, and Bruno Tonioli, 68, awarded the pair three 10s apiece for their Foxtrot dance to 'Unconditionally' by Katy Perry, and they received the same score for their Freestyle to District 78's 'Que Calor'.

It was a record-breaking finale as it featured five couples for the first time, but Xochitl beat off competition from fellow stars Jason Mraz, who finished second; Ariana Madix, who was third; fourth placed Charity Lawson, and Alyson Hannigan, who was fifth, to win the first-ever Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The Mirrorball was renamed this year in tribute to the show's late judge, who passed away in April aged 78.

Xochitl and Val were pushed all the way in the finale by runners up Jason and his pro partner Daniella Karagach, after the couple also achieved two perfect scores in the final episode of the season.

All of the season 32 couples - including the likes of Lele Pons, Barry Williams, Harry Jowsey, and Mauricio Umansky - returned to the dancefloor to perform a group number to Candi Staton's 'Young Hearts Run Free'.

What's more, last year's season 31 champion Charli D’Amelio and her pro partner Mark Ballas returned to the floor to perform a routine to 'Give it to Me Baby' by Rick James.

Even the hosts got involved, with co-presenters Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough dancing to Mariah Carey's festive hit 'Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town' in the finale.
