Patrick Dempsey's hair fell out filming 'Ferrari'.
The 57-year-old actor had his locks bleached platinum blond in order to play Italian race car driver Piero Taruffi in the new movie and he admitted a combination of the dye and his tight-fitting race helmet left him wishing he'd worn a wig instead.
He told the new issue of Radio Times magazine: "I should have had a wig because we dyed my hair and it started falling out because of the helmet I had on.
"They dyed my hair so much that towards the end of the shoot, I had this monk halo – all the hair was gone!"
It seems the dye caused a lot of problems for the former 'Grey's Anatomy' star as he recently revealed it also caused his scalp to erupt in painful blisters.
He told America's Vanity Fair magazine: "It was a very arduous process. Because we were still in the COVID era, I didn’t have enough time to get a wig fitted. We dyed it and we couldn’t get the colour right.
" So we had one week [where] my scalp was just blistered because we had burned it, and then we finally got it right.
"That was the hardest part of the movie, getting the colour right, and the style. But once we did that, we had the image."
Patrick was recently named People's Sexiest Man Alive and he previously admitted his wife Jillian Fink - with whom he has Talula, 21, and 16-year-old twins Sullivan and Darby - "laughed" when the publication told him he was to receive the coveted accolade.
Asked how his wife and kids reacted, Patrick told US TV show 'Extra': "She laughed at first. She goes, ‘Really? That's great. Fantastic!’ And then my kids just tore me up, which they should do, so that was fun, and everybody had their own sort of person they would vote for and we had that debate, so that's good. They won't use [it to brag],, but they'll definitely give me a hard time!"
