Paul Giamatti - Parkland Video Interview

Paul Giamatti plays Abraham Zapruder, the man who filmed the famous footage of the assassination of US President John F Kennedy in 1963, in 'Parkland'; the new drama based on the smaller figures surrounding the event. In a new video interview, he talks about preparing for the role, the separation of all the movie's actors and working with first time director Peter Landesman.

'I'm interest in American history and I've always been interested in this event in particular and so I was very aware of who he was but I knew nothing about him', he explains on why the role was an attractive prospect. He mentions that he gleaned a lot of information about Zapruder from the script, but also other footage. 'There's interesting footage of him from two different periods of time: the day of the assassination and three years later which were very interesting to watch', he says. 'To just see him physically and hear his voice was very interesting.' Despite the vastness of the cast list for the flick, Paul admits he saw few of co-stars apart from Billy Bob Thornton: 'It was like our own little weird small movie for a week!'
