The Royal Wedding was such a global and celebrated event that it is still in the minds of many, which makes it hard to believe nearly three years have passed since that famous day.

One person who remembers it more than most is the bride's younger sister Pippa Middleton.

Pippa by no means outshone the bride Kate Middleton, but she did garner worldwide celebrity status overnight, which was thanks to her white bridesmaid's gown.

While arriving at Westminster Abbey in April 2011, her curve-hugging dress earned a lot of attention due to it displaying the backside of 30 year-old.

The gown, which was designed for Alexander McQueen, was nearly talked about as much as Kate's actual wedding dress, as it was heavily featured in headlines and magazines.

And it still seems to be a talking-point today, Pippa opened up about the famous gown at the Women in Advertising and Communications dinner in London on Tuesday (Feb 25th).

While joking with the 400 attendees, she said, "As I have found out, recognition has its upside, its downside and-you may say-its backside." (via E!News).

The brunette beauty also quipped that she was just "glad it fitted" for the royal wedding, and added, "In retrospect, it fitted a little too well."

This isn't the first time the younger Middleton sister has referenced her perky derrière.

In her 2012 book, 'Celebrate: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends,' Pippa wrote, "It is a bit startling to achieve global recognition (if that's the right word) before the age of 30, on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom."

Adding, "One day, I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime I think it's fair to say that it has its upside and its downside."
