Ray J's weekend couldn't get much worse.

The 33 year-old singer was arrested at a Beverly Hill hotel on Friday (May 30th) after he allegedly spat on an officer, became hostile towards the venue's staff and kicked out a patrol car window, TMZ reports.

The LAPD were initially called to the hotel to investigate a report that Ray J had inappropriately touched a female at the bar.

But the police reportedly discovered the contact was accidental and the 'I Hit It First' singer agreed to leave the property.

However, Ray J quickly changed his mind and refused to go, which was the point where he became belligerent and shattered the car window before being taken into custody.

The star was charged with vandalism, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer. After being processed in the local police station, he posted $20,000 bail and was released.

Ray J garnered global notoriety after starring in the famed Kim Kardashian sex tape from 2007, but as his former flame just got married to rapper Kanye West last weekend, he surprisingly offered the newlyweds a wedding gift.

The 'All I Fee' hit maker wrote a cheque for $47,000, which is the profits he received off their homemade X-rated video between January and April of this year. Under the current deal with Vivid Entertainment, who estimate that the tape has earned $50 million, Ray J and Kardashian are entitled to the same amount of royalties.

But it is unlikely that they will accept this as West allegedly refuses to watch it. ''For all his bad-boy image, he's quite old-fashioned and [while they were still just friends] he thought it inappropriate to view Kim's tape," an insider said. "Now that they are a couple, there's no way Kanye's ever going to look at it."

"When some of his buddies were teasing him about it over a few beers just recently, he went crazy and told them in no uncertain terms that the subject was completely off limits," the source added. "At first they thought he was joking, but he was deadly serious. Kanye never, ever wants to see the tape, and he has banned anyone in his entourage from even talking about it."
