Rita Ora opted for an ambitious fashion ensemble at the opening show of her 'How We Do' UK Tour in Manchester this week. The chart-topper looked pretty sensational in metallic trousers and a strapless basque with large shoulder pads! Maybe it was her way of auditioning for JJ Abrams forthcoming Star Wars movie? Who knows.

Rita certainly looked the part and held her own on-stage in front of a sold-out crowd in the north-west. It was no surprise to learn that her costumes were designed especially by the couture house, Emilio Pucci, who has previously designed tour outfits for Kylie Minogue, The Spice Girls, Madonna and Beyonce. The sci-fi style look was reinterpreted from Pucci's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Designer Peter Dundas told the Daily Mail, "I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita's 'Radioactive Tour', from the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like only a natural progression. The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic."

Rita Ora Was Met By Rapturous Applause At Her UK Tour Opener In Manchester

Though she was dressed to the nines for the Manchester Academy crowd, Rita headed out afterwards in another of her unusual looks. The RIP singer left the venue wearing double lens sunglasses that made her eyebrows look pretty ridiculous. However, she did stop to sign autographs and pose for photographs with fans, so we'll let her off. Rita Ora's UK Tour continues throughout February in Cardiff, Newcastle, Sheffield, London, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Bristol, York and Leeds.
