Shania Twain has revealed that she can't wait to perform at Glastonbury Festival in June.
Shania Twain is "buzzing" to play the 'legend slot' at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The 58-year-old singer is set to perform at Worthy Farm in June, and Shania is thrilled to have been given the prestigious slot, likening it to receiving an "accolade".
Speaking on the BBC Radio 2 'Breakfast Show', Shania shared: "There’s like a stamp that comes with this slot and I feel like, you know, I’m there.
"I’ve arrived at this slot, and it’s gonna be gorgeous, the sunset. Standing ... I’ve watched some of the other performances and I’m already planning what I’m going to wear, you know, all that exciting stuff!"
Shania is following in the footsteps of music icons such as Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton by performing the 'legend slot', and she sees it as a "reward" for all of her hard work over so many years.
The country music star said: "I don’t know if this is the right language, but it feels like an accolade of sorts - really something that you have to earn. It’s just very rewarding ... it’s a really beautiful feeling."
Shania is a good friend of Lionel, who performed the 'legends slot' back in 2015, and she'll be turning to him for some advice in the coming weeks.
The 'Any Man of Mine' hitmaker said: "I mean, he’s one of my absolute heroes and he’s a mentor, really someone that did mentor me through a difficult vocal time so it’s beyond an honour to be also doing this slot.
"That’s when you really sense the marker, when you’ve got somebody like that who has done the slot and, of course, Dolly Parton. So many of my heroes have done it."
