A new Beatles documentary produced by Martin Scorsese is coming to Disney+.
'Beatles '64' - which is directed by David Tedeschi - will focus on the "electrifying moment" of the legendary group's first visit to America, and the global impact of the band at that time.
The film includes never-before-seen footage of band members Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison, as well as the fans who helped fuel their rise to them becoming the most influential group of all time.
'Beatles '64' will take viewers back to the moment the 'Hey Jude' hitmakers arrived in New York City to unprecedented excitement ahead of their performance on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' - which became the most watched TV event of its time, attracting 73 million viewers - and shining a light on the bond between the band.
The film will feature rare footage filmed by Albert and David Maysles, restored in 4K by Park Road Post in New Zealand, as well as live clips from the group's first US concert at the Washington DC Coliseum, newly-filmed interviews with surviving Beatles Paul and Ringo, and discussions with fans whose lives were transformed by the band.
As well as Martin, Paul and Ringo, the documentary is produced by Olivia Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon, Jonathan Clyde, Mikaela Beardsley, with Jeff Jones and Rick Yorn serving as executive producers.
'Beatles '64' will stream exclusively on Disney+ from November 29.
News of the project comes after Sir Sam Mendes' announced earlier this year that he would be directing four separate films about the Fab Four.
According to The InSneider, Harris Dickinson is to star as Lennon, Paul Mescal will play McCartney, Barry Keoghan is to portray Starr and Charlie Rowe will be Harrison.
The films are set to be interconnected stories with one from each band member's perspective.
It marks the first time ever that The Beatles and their Apple Corps. company have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.
The movies are being made by Sony Pictures and Mendes' Neal Street Productions company with a planned 2027 cinematic release.
It has not yet been revealed if all four films will be released at the same time or whether they will be staggered across the year but Sony promised an "innovative release cadence".
