Actor Stanley Tucci has his fiancee to thank for his part in The Hunger Games - she told him to grab the role of Caesar Flickerman when it was first offered to him.
The Devil Wears Prada star admits he had no idea what The Hunger Games was when he first received a call from director Gary Ross, so he took the idea to his literary agent girlfriend Felicity, who is now his fiancee, and asked her what she thought.
Tucci says, "I said, 'I got offered this thing today, called The Hunger Games...' She said, 'Do it!'
"I knew nothing about it; I'm very bad about popular culture. I read the script and it was a fantastic script and then I read the book and I very happy to sign on to do it."
Tucci's fiancee is the sister of his The Devil Wears Prada co-star Emily Blunt.
