Taylor Swift thinks Florence Welch is ''electric''.

The 25-year-old singer has gushed over her pal's ''magnetic'' personality and claims the Florence and The Machine frontwoman ''fascinates'' her companions.

She told Billboard magazine ''What sets Florence apart? Everything. Every time I've been around her, she is the most magnetic person in the room - surrounded by people who are fascinated by the idea of being near her.

''But when she meets people, she pays them a warm compliment and immediately disarms them. There are very few people I've met in my life who are truly electric, and Florence is one of them.''

The 'Blank Space' hitmaker is known for her circle of A-list pals and is grateful that the group - which includes Ed Sheeran, Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez and supermodel Karlie Kloss - understand the pressures of fame.

She explained: ''I can say I'm really lucky to have friends like Karlie, Lena and Selena that I can call at any time day or night and who understand how my life feels.''

The 'Style' singer and her famous friends regularly get together and often enjoy ''themed-nights''.

She said: ''Sometimes we organise themed nights. We all agree to make nice Shirley Temple cocktails, go to the new Ralph Lauren restaurant (to shop).''
