The 24-year-old will be appearing on the show's seventh season, which began airing the blind auditions section on September 22nd. The show will properly begin at the end of October when Swift will be joining the show as an advisor. She will be working alongside fellow advisors Stevie Nicks, Gavin Rossdale, Little Big Town and Alicia Keys.
Swift will be taking up the advisor position which was last occupied by Coldplay's Chris Martin last season. Swift will be advising all the competitors, regardless of their coach and team.
People first reported the news and Swift confirmed her position via Twitter. Swift wrote "Way excited about being a key advisor on NBC The Voice." She also attached some heavily doctored images of her with the four judges: Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

Swift has rarely been out of the spotlight over the past few weeks as she has been promoting her new single 'Shake It Off' which is from her upcoming album 1989. As part of the album's promotion, Swift has recently graced the cover of British Vogue in which she discussed her love life.
Swift had numerous high profile relationships in the past including with actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Lautner and singers John Mayer and Joe Jonas. However, as she discussed in an interview, Swift said it was precisely because of the high profile nature of her life that relationships never seem to work out.
Swift stated: "Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind. I can't picture how it could work with the way my life is." She further explained: "I don't know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can't protect his girlfriend because that's the life she chose."
