Tommy Lee Jones will star in 'Men In Black 3'.

It had been rumoured he would be replaced by Josh Brolin - who is set to play a younger version of Tommy's alter-ego Agent K in the latest film about the alien hunters - but the handsome actor has reassured fans that he will not be taking over the role.

He said: "I don't know what the balance is yet. I'm not replacing Tommy, that I know. There's more suggestion going on than anything."

Josh - who previously co-starred with Tommy in the Oscar winning 'No Country For Old Men' - said he has been watching the actor's old movies to prepare for the role.

He said: "I feel like I spend too much time with Tommy anyway. But now I'm looking at it from a different perspective. It's very, very interesting. As you can tell I get nervous talking about it because I'm not there yet and hopefully it'll be alright. I think it's going to be a lot of fun."

'Men in Black 3' will be released in May 2012.
