A major avalanche hit the French ski resort of Tignes on Monday morning, but no fatalities or serious injuries have been reported.
Reality TV star Vicky Pattison has assured her fans that she is safe and unharmed after she was caught up in a severe avalanche that hit the French ski resort of Tignes this week.
The 29 year old celeb has been holidaying at the resort as news came out on Monday (March 6th) that the area had been hit by a “hugely violent” snowslide that hit the Carline piste in the Val Claret area of Tignes.
Initially, there were fears that “numerous people” had been buried and possibly killed on the slopes, but 24 hours later, there are no reported fatalities arising from the incident.

Pattison, the former ‘Geordie Shore’ star and winner of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’ in 2015, quickly moved to reassure her fans that she had not been affected by what had happened.
“Vicky is away skiing with friends in Tignes, she is safe and well and not affected by the avalanche,” a representative for the star told MailOnline the day after the devastating incident.
It was fortunate that the avalanche struck early on in the day, when most skiers and snowboarders hadn’t yet taken to the slopes.
A major search effort was rapidly launched by the gendarmerie with sniffer dogs and rescue teams, but authorities said “no serious injuries” were reported and that while “a few skiers were knocked around… everybody managed to get away.”
Pattison has been documenting the various shenanigans on her vacation she’s taking with her boyfriend, John Noble, and another couple, via her Instagram account. However, she admitted a few days ago that she nearly missed the trip altogether because of the delayed arrival of her new passport!
“I am off for a ski lesson with this one… but I've got no passport and no ski gear as of yet so the trip might not be happening but I've already booked this so thought I might as well go.”
