Dave and Stormzy, two of the UK's most revered rappers, hook up together to deliver some of the coolest lines you'll hear this year on their new song, 'Clash'. Whilst Dave is celebrating his success and listing his many acquisitions Stormzy and he are also both pointing a sly finger at everyone from Piers Morgan to rival rapper Chip, and at the same time, getting in a mention for Jordan Woods and Jeremy Corbyn as they do so.
Dave looks all set to release his second album, 'We’re All Alone in This Together', any day soon - an album that is said to document his life since the release of his award winning debut album 'PSYCHODRAMA'. 'Clash' is Dave's fourth single this year and also his fourth collaboration. In early January Dave released 'Little Bo Peep' with Ghetts, Hamzaa and Wretch 32. Later that month he released 'Money Talks', his top 3 single with Fredo, and more recently Dave has released 'Titanium' and 'Mercury', the latter track featuring Kamal.
'Clash', a song that Dave teased via social media in June, is thought to be the lead track from his new album, although details are sketchy and Dave has deliberately kept everyone in the dark about the exact details of his new album. It's suffice to say that fans and critics alike are eagerly awaiting the follow up to the brilliant 'PSYCHODRAMA'.
When they're not making music together, and they're not heading up the pre-match build up to the mid-week EURO2020 semi-final between England and Denmark, it seems Dave and Stormzy also like to partake in a little light motor sport as the setting for their latest video is either at the Silverstone race circuit or the Aston Martin showroom.
Both rappers take to the Northampton race track in a spectacular array of luxury vehicles, pulling donuts and haring around the track as Stormzy drops the line, "Dave's got the new Aston Martin plug, could you send me one? He said "No need to be rentin' one." I think they're way past renting! "The mortgage cleared, we've overtaken all our peers (All our peers)"
'We’re All Alone in This Together' is set to be released on July 23rd.
