Chicago Cubs coach Joe Maddon has accused Aussie rockers AC/DC of messing up the baseball team’s Wrigley Field stadium, after they played a concert there last Tuesday (September 15). Maddon was speaking after the Cubs beat Milwaukee Brewers 9-5 on Monday, but made three errors during the game.

Speaking to The Chicago Tribune Maddon said, “They totally messed up the infield, and it has nothing to do with the groundskeepers. I’ve seen a bad hop at third, and a bad hop at second. I didn’t see one bad hop all year.”

“We just got to get it ironed out because I think Starlin has done a nice job at second base. I don’t want anyone blaming him on that error. It was a weird hop.” During the game, second baseman Starlin Castro had made a fielding error in the third inning, but the Cubs still managed a victory.

The AC/DC concert also drew between 15 and 20 noise complaints from residents near the stadium, according to the Tribune. The complaints came despite the band finishing an hour before the stadium’s 11pm curfew.

Three of the set's songs were said to have included pyrotechnics, which annoyed local residents. There was also 'significant noise' coming from helicopters above the stadium, which had been shooting aerial shots for an upcoming live DVD.
