Country music legend Alan Jackson is raising money for the families of the West Virginia miners killed in a tragic explosion earlier this month (Apr10), by performing at an upcoming charity concert.
The singer will donate profits from a 22 May (10) performance at the Charleston Civic Center to support the families of the 29 men who died in the 5 April (10) blast at Massey Energy's mine in Montcoal - the worst coal mining disaster in 40 years.
Ticket prices have been cut to as little as $20 (GBP13) to encourage attendance.
Proceeds will go to the Montcoal Mining Disaster Fund, run by the West Virginia Council of Churches.
