Alec Baldwin hasn't been on 'SNL' for a while but he returned to the late-night sketch show this weekend.
Alec Baldwin has returned to 'Saturday Night Live' for the first time since his 'Rust' shooting trial was dismissed.
The 66-year-old actor, who is known for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Donald Trump on the late-night sketch show, this time became Fox News' Bret Baier for the cold open skit spoofing the broadcaster's recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.
At one point, he quipped: "Yes, I do look like someone made a businessman in Minecraft."
Maya Rudolph, 52, took on Kamala and the pair poked fun at the way Bret often interrupts Kamala.
The former said: "Well, When will you stop [interrupting]?"
Alec - who has hosted 'Saturday Night Live' a record 17 times - quipped: "Maybe when I go to bed."
Long-time 'SNL' cast member Dana Carvey, 69, also appeared as President Joe Biden.
It marked Alec's first time on the programme since his trial for involuntary manslaughter was thrown out in August after a judge ruled evidence had been mishandled.
Production on the Western was paused in October 2021 when a prop gun being held by lead actor Alec Baldwin discharged, killing Halyna and injuring director Joel Souza.
The 'Boss Baby' star has repeatedly insisted that he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun or know why it contained live ammunition.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film's armourer, was jailed for 18 months in April after being found guilty of charges connected to the incident.
‘Rust’ resumed filming and finished its shoot in May 2023.
Actor Michael Keaton hosted the 'SNL' episode with Billie Eilish performing live.
