Alex Reid has launched a fitness plan for the over-40s.

The retired cage fighter turned 40 himself on Sunday (21.06.15) and to mark the landmark occasion he has created his Fit at Forty programme specially designed to keep his generation in the best possible shape.

He said: ''Turning 40 is a major milestone in all our lives, and often coincides with neglecting a healthy lifestyle in favour of a career and family life. But keeping fit and healthy needn't be another burden on our schedules. I've designed my Fit at Forty programme to be as easy and pain free as possible.

''I'm not saying it won't be hard work to start with, but once you're over the first couple of weeks you'll start noticing the difference - be it weight loss, increased energy or healthier sleeping patterns.''

Alex's regime involves 25 minutes of exercise, three days a week, and can be done in the comfort of your own home and ideally should be carried out before breakfast. There is a choice of workouts which are each engineered to either maintain a healthy weight, lose weight or gain muscle.

The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner insists people can trust his methods because of his 25 years of experience in martial arts and in-depth knowledge of health and fitness.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: ''I'm not a celebrity getting into health and fitness, this is something I've done. I've trained people, I'm in the health and fitness industry so it's just a natural progression.''

Alex's Fit at Forty regime can exclusively be learned at his Alma Juicing Retreat in Marbella, Spain, which he has just set up.

He has also created his own unique exercise programme named Roll & Flow which he will be demonstrating at the retreat.

Speaking about Roll & Flow, he told BANG Showbiz: ''I've just developed Roll & Flow which I'm very passionate about. I currently am teaching martial arts to kids and I teach another class to adults and I love it.''
