The Beach Boys are set to mark the end of their 50th anniversary celebrations by allowing fans to play on a brand new track as part of a new guitar contest - and make a video for their heroes.
Devotees will be able to add their own guitar solo to singer Mike Love's new tune Goin' to the Beach, while wannabe video directors have been invited to shoot a promo for Brian Wilson's new tune California Feelin'.
Both tracks will appear on the band's new career-spanning box set Made in California.
Guitarists who add their solo to Love's track will get the chance to have their music mixed into a new master version of the song, which will premiere on The Beach Boys’ Facebook.com page, while the winning video will be released as the band's official promo.
