Indie icons Bloc Party are set to mark their 20th anniversary by performing their seminal debut album 'Silent Alarm' from start to finish at London's Crystal Palace Park.

The huge outdoor concert on July 7, 2024, where fans can also expect to hear the 'Flux' hitmakers play their greatest hits, will see them supported by The Hives, in a UK exclusive, alongside indie stars Friendly Fires, The Mysterines and Connie Constance.

Frontman Kele Okereke said: “We've been having so much fun playing shows over the past year, so it makes sense to do something special for old and new fans, celebrating twenty years of Bloc Party. We heard from a lot of people that they couldn't get tickets for the Silent Alarm gigs, so a one-off summer party playing that and the bangers feels like the right thing to do.”

Next year will also see Bloc Party re-release a batch of rare songs, deep cuts and fan favourites to streaming services, meaning their entire back catalogue will be available to listen to in the same place for the first time.

Last year, they returned with their sixth studio album, 'Alpha Games', their first since 2016's 'Hymns', which made it into the Top 10 of the Official UK Singles Chart.

It marked the first album with drummer Louise Bartle, who, along with bassist Justin Harris, helped to co-write the songs with Kele.

In 2018 and 2019, the 'Banquet' hitmakers performed 2005's 'Silent Alarm' in full across the UK, Europe, and US.

Tickets for Crystal Palace Park go on general sale at 10am (GMT) on Friday (08.12.23) from www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
