Caity Lotz and Kyle Schmid have announced they are set to become parents for the first time.
'Legends of Tomorrow' and 'Mad Men' actress Caity Lotz is expecting her first child with husband Kyle Schmid.
The 37-year-old star - who is perhaps best known for playing Sara Lance / White Canary in DC's Arrowverse and Stephanie Horton in the AMC series - took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy by sharing a sonogram and a series of snaps showing off her blossoming baby bump.
She captioned the post: “Gaining weight for the role of a lifetime."
Her 39-year-old actor spouse - who she tied the knot with last year - gushed in his own post: "Never would have thought the woman of my dreams could have become anymore beautiful. Your glow, your shine, you’re going to be the best mom in the world.
"I can’t wait to be a proud poppa. What a whirlwind of a year!"
Caity shared a follow-up post and admitted she struggled with the sickness and exhaustion but is now "loving" pregnancy.
She added alongside a snap of her cradling her bump out on a hike: "Now that I’m (hopefully) past all the nausea and extreme fatigue, I’m loving being pregnant!"
The pair got married in the grounds of the Sanctuary de San Pedro Clave in Cartegena, Colombia, in February 2023.
Caity told Brides at the time: "It was such a beautiful space full of texture and history. I really wanted everything to feel very natural and overgrown so I asked that all the flowers look like they were growing up from the ground.
"It felt like all the old stone was just being re-embraced by nature."
Caity and the 'Lost Girl' star met on the 'Legends of Tomorrow set' and started dating in 2021.
They were on a romantic getaway to Marrakesh, the following year, when Kyle got down on one knee and popped the question.
Kyle briefly dated 'Neighbours' star Nicky Whelan, 42, for just over three months between 2019 to 2020.
