Calum Best has been accused of sexually assaulting a British holidaymaker in Ibiza in 2022.

The 42-year-old TV star - who is the son of soccer legend George Best - has been accused in court of forcing "her hand on his crotch" after he met the woman in a club on the Spanish island.

The alleged victim made the claims at the Audiencia Nacional court in the Majorcan capital of Palma, where prosecutors are calling for Best to be jailed for three years if he's convicted.

The woman has claimed that Best kissed her and then said: "I’ve got something for you, close your eyes."

She alleges that he then put her hand down his shorts and onto his penis, The Sun newspaper reports.

The alleged victim claimed that there was "some kind of forcing" - before he she managed to escape from the situation and alerted the security staff at O Beach club.

The woman - who claims to have suffered a panic attack following the alleged incident - admitted in court that she accepted a kiss on the lips from Best.

However, she insisted that Best's subsequent behaviour was unwanted.

She told the court: "After the kiss Calum Best told me he wanted to show me something, took my hand and guided me round the corner and asked me to close my eyes.

"Then he put my right hand down his shorts and guided it towards his penis."

Best - who appeared in court via a video link from the UK - declined to answer questions from the state prosecutor or lead judge Jaime Tartalo.

The TV star has denied the allegations and Best told his defence lawyer, Jaime Campaner, that his accuser was "very drunk" during their meeting.

He said: "The main thing is that I know people get very drunk at the O Beach club and I don’t think she would have made the allegations she did if she hadn’t been drinking heavily."

The Spanish court is expected to announce its decision in the coming weeks, but no firm date has been announced so far.
