Cheryl Burke will "never forget" her time on 'Dancing with the Stars.'
The 38-year-old dancer served as a professional on the ABC ballroom competition over the course of 26 seasons, partnering with the likes of Backstreet Boys singer Aj Mclean and won the show with NFL star Emmitt Smith as well as singer Drew Lachey and took to social media on Monday (28.11.22) to reflect on her time on the show, just weeks after she announced that she had quit.
Alongside a series of photos from her time on the show, she wrote on Instagram: "To all of my dance partners who each has played a pivotal role in my life, THANK YOU. To all of my dance partners who each has played a pivotal role in my life, THANK YOU. Even if 'dance mom' Cheryl decided to take over rehearsal at times, ha, you knew that it came from a loving place so thank you again for trusting me , allowing me to mold you into dancers, and for the amazing ride that I'll never forget. LOVE TO YOU ALL!."
Cheryl's other former partners include the likes of actor Cristian de la Fuente, former NBA player Rick Fox, 'Sex and the City' actor Gilles Marini, Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby, 'The Osbournes' star Jack Osbourne and former NFL player Terrell Owens and her post comes shortly after she explained that it was time for her run on the show to come to an end.
She said: "I am sitting here full of so many conflicting emotions about the words I am about to write…Tomorrow night will officially be my final dance as a pro dancer on @dancingwiththestars. This has been one of the absolute hardest decisions of my life and I am also confident that it is the right one. This show has been my 2nd family since I was 21 years old. The cast, crew and fans have seen me through my highest highs and some of my lowest lows, and I honestly don’t know who I would be today without them. I also know that it is time for me to begin the next phase of my career, although dance will always be a part of me. (sic)"
