The mourning continues in the wake of the death of rising star Christina Grimmie; a young singer who was inexplicably shot and killed by a stranger while signing autographs after a concert in Orlando this weekend. Tributes are still rolling in from her friends and superstar peers.

Notably, Selena Gomez struggled to get any words out as she sang her song 'Nobody' for Christina. Gomez was a long-time friend of 'The Voice' contestant, as it was the former's stepfather who took Christina under his wing when she was 14-years-old as her manager. 'My heart is absolutely broken. I miss you Christina', she said on Twitter.

Even Gomez's ex Justin Bieber showed that he had a soft side somewhere (despite what the headlines would say about him recently) as he sang 'Grimmie, can you hear me?' during a rendition of his song 'Purpose' at his Winnipeg show on Saturday night. Kesha also gave a shout-out to the young star as she performed at Pride in Pittsburgh: 'Send a little [love] to the family, and to the friends, and to the fans of Christina Grimmie', she said.

Fifth Harmony led a moment of silence at 106.1's BLI's Summer Jam in New York, adding that 'she was nothing but nice to us, so humble', while Charlie Puth dedicted his song 'See You Again' (originally for Paul Walker) to Christina at the same venue. 'I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight', he said. 'I've been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that.'

More tributes came through via Twitter. 'Behati [Prinsloo] and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie's death. Our hearts go out to her family', said Adam Levine, Christina's mentor on 'The Voice'. Other 'Voice' mentors also gave their condolences, Christina Aguilera branding her a 'true fighter' and Blake Shelton adding that he is 'stunned and disgusted and heartbroken that we lost that sweet little girl'.

Pharrell Willians said, 'This is a tragic loss. My heart goes out to [Christina Grimmie's] family, friends and all the people that she touched.' Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres described her as 'a talented young woman with so much ahead of her'.
