While undergoing the drug-induced ‘counselling’ for her 38th birthday, Chrissy Teigen says she wept when saw her late baby Jack while undergoing a ketamine therapy session.
Chrissy Teigen wept when saw her late baby Jack while undergoing a ketamine therapy session.
The model and presenter said an emotional goodbye to her child in 2020 alongside her singer husband John Legend, 44, after she suffered a pregnancy loss at 20 weeks, and has now admitted she saw a vision of the tragic youngster when she had drug-induced ‘counselling’ as part of her 38th birthday in November.
She told on Instagram how her trip included her seeing “space and time and baby Jack and some weird penguins”, and admitted she “cried and cried and cried” while on ketamine.
But she insisted she had a “really nice birthday”.
Ketamine therapy involves the use of low doses of ketamine to help with mental health conditions, from treatment-resistant depression and anxiety disorders to post-traumatic stress disorder.
Chrissy opened up in 2022 about how she had not suffered a miscarriage with baby Jack, but had to have a “life-saving” abortion due to a partial placenta abruption.
She said at Propper Daley’s ‘A Day of Unreasonable Conversation’ summit:
“It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention.
“Let’s just call it what it was: it was an abortion. An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance.
“And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”
The model already had daughter Luna, seven, and son Miles, five, with crooner John when they lost Jack.
She and John also had their daughter Esti in January and five months later their son Wren arrived via surrogate.
Chrissy added she also spent her 38th birthday with her four other children, adding on Instagram: “Went to see my friends @flamingo_estate, had a beautiful lunch with friends,” she gushed of her birthday festivities.
“Then laid with my babies, then hot pot, then hung with my best friend (pink heart emoji.)”
A string of Chrissy’s famous friends wished her a happy birthday in the comments section of her post including Katy Perry, Viola Davis and Mandy Moore.
