David Gest has revealed Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown caused chaos at her funeral by turning up with a massive entourage.
The music promoter, who was a friend of the late star, attended her funeral in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday (18Feb12) and he was there when Brown left the church after just 20 minutes.
The New Edition star subsequently blamed his early exit on overzealous security guards, alleging he and his children were moved three times and denied access to his daughter with Houston, Bobbi Kristina.
Gest has now spoken about the incident, explaining space in the church was limited and Brown caused seating problems when he turned up with "eight or nine" people in tow.
He tells Bbc Breakfast "I saw the whole thing. He came in but he was with more people. It was a limited funeral, only 300 people, it was a small church. No one could even get past the (security) guards... When you (arrived) you showed your pass and you were let into the church.
"He (Brown) brought about eight or nine other guests. They sat him down, then they moved him, and moved him again and you could see by the third time he was becoming really irate."
