Emilia Clarke prepares for 'Game of Thrones' by listening to gangsta rap.
The 28-year-old actress finds the music empowering and helps her feel ''badass'' before shooting scenes as Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen.
She explained: ''A lot of gangster rap before 'Thrones'. So Tupac. Biggie. But then some Florence. And Beyonce obviously.
''I tried Eminem once, but that was too much.
''For me, it's like, you wake up and think, 'I'm not feeling particularly badass this morning. Coolio, Biggie, can you help me?'
''When you're doing a huge scene, trying to empower hundreds of extras, you've got to get me to a G.''
Despite Emilia's friend and co-star Kit Harington seemingly having his alter ego Jon Snow killed off in the last series of the fantasy drama, she is confident he will be back.
She teased: ''We've got the red lady [Melisandre]... but what would she bring him back as? She's got to take something for herself. Let's just say I'm optimistic.''
Because the actress dons a platinum blonde wig for the show, she rarely gets recognised when she's not working and finds it funny when she's out with her co-stars.
She told GQ magzine: ''It's always been funny going out with Kit, because he's so recognisable.
''We went to a FKA twigs gig and it was mental. I went to the loo and in the cubicle on either side the girls were like, 'That's Jon Snow out there! Don't know who that random girl is...' ''
