A little under 12 months after they fell in love when partnered together on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last year, Georgia May Foote has announced that she’s split from her dancer boyfriend Giovanni Pernice.

The couple finished as runners-up on 2015’s ‘Strictly’, behind eventual winner Jay McGuinness of boyband The Wanted and his pro dance partner Aliona Vilani.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Georgia May Foote has described her boyfriend Giovanni Pernice, who was her professional dance partner on the show, as “the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

25 year old Georgia, formerly an actress on ‘Coronation Street’ until last year, said that the 27 year old Italian dancer was there to support her during the disintegration of her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, fellow actor Sean Ward.

The romantic magic of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has struck again, with recent contestant Georgia May Foote announcing that she’s moving in with her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ fans took to social media last night to express their dismay at the shock result of the public vote this weekend, which pitted contestants Helen George and Georgia May Foote together in the dance-off despite many regarding them as the most talented contenders in the competition.

It meant that ‘Call the Midwife’ actress Helen George exited the competition on Sunday night (December 7th), despite earning the highest accumulative score from the judges of the series so far the previous evening. She and her professional partner Aljaz Škorjanec danced a paso doble to music from 'Les Miserables', but were edged out by Georgia and her partner Giovanni Pernice’s foxtrot to 'Beauty and the Beast'.

‘90s pop pin-up and TV star Peter Andre has agreed to take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ next month, making him the seventh celebrity name to sign up for the BBC show.

The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer announced the news on Wednesday (August 19th), and revealed that he has been asked to take part in the dancing competition before, but that other commitments have prevented him from taking it on.

Ex-‘Coronation Street’ star Georgia May Foote has been revealed as the latest celebrity to be taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 24 year old actress, who quit her role as Katy Armstrong in the ITV soap earlier in 2015 to pursue a career in Hollywood, will be focussing on Britain for the foreseeable future as she’s been confirmed as the fourth contestant in the annual BBC dancing competition.
