James Blake unveils a dreamlike electronic montage of sound with his newest single 'If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead' - and no, that's not your speakers glitching.
The video, directed by Alexander Brown, focuses on the time-lapse journey of a sports car, illuminated in the darkness only by the car's own lights, road lights and the illuminations of various tunnels. It certainly reflects the speed and confusion you get from the song itself.
'If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead' has been written by Blake with co-production from Dominic Maker. It comes after last year's 'Vincent', which also seems to be a single from an as yet unrevealed new album.
Between then and now, James Blake has teamed up with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and Future for another epic tune; 'King's Dead' from the soundtrack of Marvel's latest blockbuster 'Black Panther'.
Meanwhile, he'll be performing live across the UK and Europe from February, including shows at four big London venues: the Roundhouse, the O2, SSE Arena and Telenor Arena. He's also on the line-up for the Governors Ball in New York this summer.
