Jodie Marie - On The Road Video

Jodie Marie's highly anticipated debut single, 'On the Road', will be released on October 31st through Verve, Decca's newly re-launched label.

The video for On the Road plays out like a mock behind the scenes video. It makes no attempt to hide Jodie walking on a treadmill in front of projections of various moving scenery, the runners revealing the band behind Jodie, or the very same runners setting up stage curtains. Indeed, it is this honest glimpse into a music video that makes it very charming.

At only nineteen years of age, Jodie's story of her rise to fame sounds like a fairy story. She started performing in local gigs in Wales at the tender age of seven; by the time she was sixteen she was sought after for weddings. A landlady at a local pub encouraged to listen to 'local plumber's daughter's music', her demo CD was sent off to London and the rest, as they say, is history. Jodie has already drawn comparisons to Carole King.

Jodie is set to tour with fellow songstress Nerina Pallot, fresh from a tour of the Highlands.
