British actress Julie Walters refuses to be drawn into the social networking phenomenon, insisting it's breeding a generation of lazy recluses.
The Harry Potter star has so far avoided signing up for a profile on Facebook.com or Twitter to keep in touch with her friends and fans.
And despite admitting the sites are helpful for communicating, she worries they will take over users' lives.
Walters tells the November issue of Reader's Digest, "I don't do either, though Twitter is the one I've thought about - I'd quite like to just say what I think. They allow people to stay in touch, but they stop people from really communicating in some ways. If we're not careful, people will never leave their sofas."
