Arizona police officials have confirmed that Katherine Jackson is "having a good time" with family members following weekend (20-22Jul12) reports the 82 year old had gone missing.
Michael Jackson's daughter Paris and a cousin raised the alarm when they reportedly lost contact with their grandmother a week after she left the family home in California and jetted off to Arizona with her daughter Rebbie.
Jermaine Jackson assured fans that his mother was "fine" but Paris disputed his remarks on Twitter.com on Sunday (22Jul12), prompting him to release a full statement later in the day.
The singer said, "Let me put to bed today's nonsense: as I made clear some days ago, Mother is safe and well in Arizona with her daughter and our sister, Rebbie, resting up on doctor's advice, so it is beyond me how she can be reported 'missing'... It dismays me that such an alarmist 'missing person' report has caused unnecessary anxiety among Michael's children, who will understandably react to what they misunderstand, hear or are told."
And now police in Pima County have confirmed his mother is OK.
According to X17online.com, a law enforcement official was sent to interview Mrs. Jackson at an undisclosed location in Arizona, where she is currently staying.
The unidentified official tells the website, "When I got there, Katherine Jackson and her family were at the dinner table and had just finished a game of Uno. In fact, their dinner plates were still in front of them. She seemed like she was having a good time. She was happy, safe and healthy. Basically Mrs. Jackson was vacationing with her family here in Arizona."
