Mindy Kaling thinks she has the ''best job in the whole world''.

The 36-year-old star finds it easy working long hours on hardly any sleep because she loves what she does.

Asked if it's hard to maintain such a rigorous schedule, she said: ''I've not died yet, to my knowledge. I love to be thought of as a hard worker. I'm proud of it and my parents are really proud of it. Work ethic is something that I admire in other people.

''But if everyone had my job, they would work hard because it's the best job in the whole world. So I don't think of it as exceptional. I would be really lazy if I was a paralegal.''

The 'Mindy Project' actress also admitted that while she'd love to be a huge Hollywood starlet, she prefers knowing that her fans can relate to her.

She explained to Marie Claire magazine: ''I know it's very hard to get someone to relate to you and that it's a rare thing to feel like you're somehow echoing a feeling that people are experiencing. It's better than just being someone on a pedestal ...

''Would I love to be effortlessly gorgeous and f***able, and incredibly likeable? Yeah. Every person in the world wants that, but I prefer my lot in life to others.''
