On the day of his new company's big launch, and young and successful entrepreneur suffers, and pays the price for his hubris. Jake (Nick Kroll) loses everything; not only his money, but also the money of a lot of other people. Forced to move in with his pregnant sister, Justine (Rose Byrne), and her husband, Danny (Bobby Cannavale), for around three months, Jake takes to baby-sitting, and has to learn to love his family once again. In the process of raising a child, Jake, Justine and Danny are all forced to grow up a little themselves.
'Adult Beginners' is an upcoming comedy from director Ross Katz ('Lost In Translation', 'Marie Antoinette') and screenwriters Jeff Cox ('Blades of Glory') and Liz Flahive ('Nurse Jackie'). The film saw its debut showing at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada on 8th September 2014. Following modest reviews, the film is set to appear at the South by Southwest Film Festival on Sunday, 15th March 2015. 'Adult Beginners' is set to see a US limited theatrical release following the film festival, opening at selected screenings on 24th April 2015.
