One Direction disagree with children using social media.
The 'Story of My Life' hitmakers are all avid users of social networking sites such as Twitter and Instagram but Liam Payne thinks their younger fans shouldn't be using them and that they should be focusing on having fun instead.
He said: ''When I think about it, I do start to worry about this whole social media thing. It does make me uncomfortable; kids should be out, living their lives, getting out and enjoying themselves.''
Liam and his bandmates, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, have also admitted that they've had some bizarre experiences with fans since they were catapulted into the limelight following their success on UK talent show 'The X Factor' in 2010.
The 20-year-old heartthrob added: ''I went into an empty gym and there was just me and a girl in full make-up, a dress and high heels actually running on the treadmill, watching me.''
The band - who released their third album 'Midnight Memories' in November - are still finding it hard to come to terms with their success.
Liam told Top of the Pops magazine: ''It's surreal and I don't think any of us have got our heads around it. It's amazing, it's crazy, it's like nothing we ever thought would happen, but it's also just weird. The performing, the writing, the albums - all of that is just more incredible than you could ever imagine.''
