Pete Wentz wants to make life "as easy as possible" for two-year-old son Bronx.

The former Fall Out Boy rocker split with Bronx's mother Ashlee Simpson earlier this year, but confirms the two are working together to make sure they raise their child well.

He said: "Everything at home is good. We try to make his life as easy to navigate as possible and he's growing up so it's important for everyone who loves him to be involved with his life."

Pete, 31, also reveals Bronx "takes after" both himself and his estranged wife because he likes to talk.

He told E! Online: "He's a talker and he tells a lot of stories in full sentences. I think he takes after both of us."

Despite 26-year-old Ashlee filing for divorce after three years of marriage in February - citing irreconcilable differences - the pair were seen holding hands recently while out on a family date at the Beverly Glen Mall in Los Angeles.

An onlooker said: "Ashlee and Pete held hands, and Pete especially looked very happy. While waiting for their drinks, Pete had his arm around Ashlee and they definitely looked like a couple again.

"Ashlee kept smiling and lovingly leaned on Pete."
